Privacy Policy
Effective: 2026-11-01
This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of the RedSwap website at https://redswap.org (the “Interface”) handles information when you visit the site, connect a wallet, request blockchain data, or contact the operator. The Interface is a front end for transactions on public blockchains; this notice does not govern the independent operation of those blockchains or third-party services.
1. Who is responsible for this website?
The operator responsible for the Interface and for personal information processed under the operator's control is Redswap DEX. The operator is based in Finland. The Interface operates under the RedSwap name.
Privacy inquiries: [email protected]. We may need to verify that a requester is entitled to receive particular information before fulfilling a privacy request.
2. Information involved in using the Interface
- Website and security information: When your browser requests the website, hosting and network providers may receive your IP address, request time, device/browser details, referring URL, diagnostic events, and similar connection metadata.
- Wallet and on-chain information: Connecting a wallet can expose its public address, selected network, token balances, allowances, transaction requests, and publicly available transaction history to your browser, wallet-connection provider, RPC provider, relevant indexer, and blockchain participants. Wallet addresses may be personal data when they can be linked to a person.
- Information stored in your browser: The Interface can save theme, network, slippage, transaction deadline, imported token selections, and previously discovered liquidity-pool details in local storage. Third-party wallet software may keep its own session information and identifiers.
- Information you send us: If you contact the operator, the message, email address, and any information you choose to include may be processed to respond and maintain appropriate records.
You do not need a traditional account to use the Interface. The Interface does not ask you to provide your wallet recovery phrase or private key. Never share either with anyone claiming to represent the project.
3. Why information is processed
- Delivering and securing the website: To serve pages, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain website security. Where the GDPR applies, the usual lawful basis is legitimate interests in operating a safe, functional website (Article 6(1)(f)); processing may also be needed to meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Wallet and blockchain features: To respond to your requests to display blockchain data, prepare transactions, and interact with the wallet you choose. Depending on the particular processing and circumstances, the legal basis may be steps taken at your request or performance of the applicable user relationship (Article 6(1)(b)), or legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Support: To respond to messages, investigate reported issues, and maintain records of correspondence, generally on the basis of legitimate interests or relevant legal obligations.
- Consent-based features: If we introduce optional features requiring your consent, we will provide appropriate choices, including the ability to withdraw consent where applicable.
4. Local storage, cookies, and wallet sessions
The Interface uses browser storage to remember settings and improve continuity between visits. You can clear site data in your browser; this does not delete blockchain history. Wallet-connection and hosting providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for technical functionality and security. If we introduce optional analytics, advertising, or similar technologies requiring consent, we will provide the relevant information and choices before using them.
5. Third-party recipients and services
Depending on the features you use, information may be processed by our hosting and content-delivery providers, Reown (wallet connection), your chosen wallet provider, Ethereum and BNB Chain RPC services, blockchain explorers, liquidity indexers, and external token-image providers. Public blockchain data may be visible to anyone. These services may operate as independent data controllers or processors under their own terms and privacy notices.
Website hosting/CDN: Hetzner Cloud (server hosting), Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, reverse proxy and security services).
External links and blockchain services are not covered by this policy merely because they are accessible through the Interface. You should review their own notices when deciding to use them.
6. How long information is kept
- Local preferences: Usually remain in your browser until cleared by you, the browser, or an applicable storage policy.
- Hosting/security logs: Server-side logs are retained for up to 30 days. Cloudflare HTTP and security analytics may be available for up to 31 days.. Actual retention depends on the hosting provider's configuration and policies.
- Support correspondence: Support emails are retained for up to 12 months after the last correspondence, unless longer retention is required for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes..
- Public blockchain history: Transactions and related records may remain indefinitely available due to the nature of public networks. The operator cannot generally edit or erase them.
Information may be retained longer where necessary to meet a legal obligation, protect against abuse, or resolve a dispute, as permitted by applicable law. External providers set their own retention periods.
7. International processing and transfers
Some service providers may process information outside your country. Our arrangements for international data transfers are described as follows: The website uses Hetzner Cloud infrastructure and Cloudflare's global network. Cloudflare may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, international transfers are subject to the safeguards described in Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses.. Independent third-party providers may apply their own international transfer arrangements, as explained in their respective privacy policies.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability; object to certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. In the EU/EEA you may also complain to a competent supervisory authority. To exercise applicable rights, use the privacy contact above. Rights can be subject to lawful exceptions, and the operator cannot remove data independently recorded on a public blockchain or force another independent controller to erase its own records.
9. Security and children
Reasonable security measures may reduce risk, but no website, wallet, or blockchain interaction is risk-free. Do not send sensitive documents, private keys, or recovery phrases by email. The Interface is not directed at children and is intended for people legally able to use blockchain trading services in their jurisdiction.
10. Policy changes and related documents
This policy may be revised when practices or providers change. The current version and its effective date will be posted here. Material changes will be communicated where applicable law requires. For contractual terms and financial/technical risks, read the Terms of Service and Risk Disclosures.
